About NACEP
A Unified Voice for Tribal Economic Sovereignty
The Native American Coalition for Economic Prosperity (NACEP) is a national, nonpartisan coalition of Tribal Nations, federal partners, and private sector leaders working together to strengthen economic sovereignty across Indian Country.
NACEP exists to ensure that Tribal Nations are not a side note in America’s economic story, but a driving force at the center of it. Our work focuses on real collaboration, practical solutions, and long term prosperity for Native communities.

Our Story
Founded by Chairman Marshall Pierite of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana, NACEP reflects a renewed commitment to collective action and a shared belief that Tribal Nations are positioned to help lead economic growth for generations to come.
NACEP emerged from the Government to Government Roundtable Series: Protecting, Preserving, and Strengthening Tribal Sovereignty, hosted by the Tunica Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana.
-
The first convening took place on the Tunica Biloxi Reservation in Louisiana.
-
A second gathering was held in Washington, D.C.
-
The third convening, also in Washington, D.C., marked a historic milestone with the official launch of NACEP and the unanimous election of Chairman Marshall Pierite as its first President.
These roundtables created a space for open and candid dialogue among Tribal leaders, the Administration, and national partners - and set the foundation for a coordinated national effort focused on economic sovereignty.
